Judge Wesley chaired the LASC Bench/Bar Committee and Personnel and Budget Committee and was appointed by Chief Justice Ronald George to the California Judicial Council in 2009. He was appointed Supervising Judge of the Criminal Division in 2003, and served through 2006, and was reappointed in 2008. In 1997, he was elevated to the superior court by Gov. Pete Wilson after serving as an LASC commissioner for three years, presiding over a juvenile court.  Wesley was a hearing judge of the State Bar Court from1993 through 1995 and an LASC referee from 1992-93.

Judge Kuhl is supervising judge of the LASC Civil Departments, which she has led since 2010, and previously led from 2003- 2004.  She was appointed to the bench in 1995 by Gov. Pete Wilson while a partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson, where she worked from 1986 to 1995. She served on the California Judicial Council from 2006 through 2009.

Previously, she was Deputy Solicitor General (1985-86) after serving as Deputy Assistant Attorney General (1982-85) and Special Assistant to the Attorney General (1981-82) at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.  She was an associate at Munger, Tolles & Rickershauser for three years and law clerk for Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit, Sacramento, for two years. She earned her J.D. from the Duke University School of Law.
