Michael Kern, the president of Direct Legal Support, Inc., Inc., gave an insightful and informative keynote speech at the 2014 PACES, an annual event held by the Process Servers Association of Colorado (PSACO). Kern provided his vision of a nationally successful process serving company and essential business fundamentals as well as maintaining ingenuity and relevance.
Kern spoke of his 25 years of experience and the values he finds most crucial in business management. He believes in investing in, trusting, and empowering employees in order to maintain loyal, capable staff with happy, balanced lifes. He spoke about learning from your competition, rather than fearing them. In addition to being the president of CALSPro, he is involved with the National Association of Professional Process Servers (NAPPS), and emphasized the importance of engaging with the industry. Kern’s final point concerned having an online presence and investing in internet marketing in order to engage with all types of legal professionals looking for a process server.
