E-File in San Diego Superior Court
Simply login to your account, upload your legal documents through our site and we’ll provide you a stamped, conformed copy upon acceptance from court. If you do not wish to submit your documents through our portal, please send it to our Customer Service email and Direct Legal Support will process your E-filing for an additional convenience fee listed below*. Be sure to include your account number and to attach your documents as separate PDFs when directing us to E-File the assignment for you. *E-filing Fees will be assessed regardless if the e-filing submission is accepted or rejected by the court.
The document is “Filed” at the date and time it is received by the court and the confirmation of receipt is created. Any electronically filed document received by the Court on or after midnight will be file stamped on the next court day.

How do I pay the invoice? We accept credit card or ACH Checking (Subject to Approval). Debit Cards are not accepted. We advance all filing and EFM fees. Payments are processed upon completion with the payment method on file. (Credit Card or ACH). Payment Receipt and Individual Paid Invoices will also be emailed to the accounting contact of choice.
The Court’s e-Submit Electronic Document Portal will remain available for parties to electronically delivery documents in family law, probate, criminal and traffic cases.
Electronic filing (e-Filing) for unlimited, limited, complex civil, unlawful detainers and small claims cases will start as optional with the anticipation of e-Filing being mandated for attorneys and represented parties effective September 1, 2021, unless there is an exemption. Pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 2.253(b)(2), self-represented litigants will be exempt from mandatory electronic filing requirements.
e-Filing differs from the e-Submit Electronic Document Portal in that parties can select any approved Electronic Filing Service Provider (EFSP) to submit their filings. In eFiling, the party will submit documents in PDF format and after a document is submitted, a confirmation email will be sent to the submitting party. Additional notifications will be sent upon the filing or rejection of the document(s).
