Per ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 24.04 dated 12/6/2024, the following documents are EXEMPT FROM E-FILING and shall not be filed electronically in Ventura County:

  1. Trial or Evidentiary Hearing related documents, including exhibits
  2. Mandatory Settlement Conference Statements/Briefs
  3. Bonds/Undertakings
  4. Subpoenaed documents
  5. Administrative records
  6. Subpoenas for Out of State Actions
  7. Bench Warrants/Returns
  8. Civil Harassment Restraining Order (i.e., Workplace Violence, Elder Abuse, etc.). Restraining order filings can be submitted by email to: EmergencyRestrainingOrdersFamilyandCivil@ventura.courts.ca.gov
  9. Documents attached to a Notice of Lodging are to be submitted in paper form. The actual document entitled, “Notice of Lodging,” may be filed electronically.
  10. Documents submitted conditionally under seal. The actual motion must be e-Filed. However, the documents the party seeks to file under seal may be submitted by conventional means with a conformed copy of the e-Filed motion attached.
  11. Will, Codicil or Testamentary Trust (including Estate Planning Documents Deposited)
  12. Writ Returns
  13. Affidavit Re: Real Property of Small Value
  14. Menacing Dog: Notice of Appeal -Administrative Hearing

The document is “Filed” at the date and time it is received by the court and the confirmation of receipt is created. Any electronically filed document received by the Court on or after midnight will be file stamped on the next court day.

How do I pay the invoice? We accept credit card or ACH Checking (Subject to Approval). Debit Cards are not accepted. We advance all filing and EFM fees. Payments are processed upon completion with the payment method on file. Payment Receipt and Individual Paid Invoices will also be emailed to the accounting contact of choice.
